Proposed Public Transportation with GLTA

Marathon Township Residents;

On June 14, 2023 the Township Board met with Kelly Bales of the Greater Lapeer Transportation Authority (GLTA). Kelly gave a wonderful presentation on the advantages of being a participating member of the GLTA. I’ve included her presentation for your review.

Lapeer Transit Needs Presentation

To become a participating member the Township would have to commit to paying a quarter of a mill per year which equates to approx.. $36,000.00. As a special assessment this would equate to approx.. $18.75 per household per year.

Please take a moment and read Kelly’s presentation and then answer the couple of questions on the survey form below.
