ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Marathon Township Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on May 4, 2026 @ 6:00pm at the Marathon Township Hall, 4575 Pine Street, Columbiaville, Michigan 48421.

FOR THE PURPOSE of a public hearing to consider an application for a zoning variance submitted by Mr. Thomas Smith and Charles Sherman.

PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Mr. Smith is requesting a variance from the current zoning ordinance Article 25, Section 25.08 – one dwelling unit to a lot. Mr. Smith is seeking a variance for an additional dwelling on 5305 N Lake Rd., Columbiaville, MI 48421.

PROPERTY IN QUESTION: Tax Parcel # 013-020-009-00

Any interested person may appear or be represented at the hearing. If you cannot attend the hearing you may reply in writing to the Zoning Board of Appeals, at PO Box 457, Columbiaville, MI, 48421 by May 4, 2026 by noon.
