Notice of Public Hearing

Marathon Township Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on June 15, 2026, at the Columbiaville Community Center at 4620 Water Street, Columbiaville, MI 48421. At the public hearing, the Planning Commission shall consider the following:

 

Introduction to Battery Storage Ordinance

and

Amendments to the zoning ordinance: Article 19 Solar Farms

 

Requested by: Planning Commission

 

Members of the public are invited to attend if they wish. A copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance can be viewed at the Marathon Township Hall during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Anyone wishing to comment on this request but who is unable to attend the meeting may send their written comments and should be received by 12 p.m. (noon) on June 15, 2026, and addressed to the to Marathon Township Planning Commission, 4575 Pine Street, PO Box 457, Columbiaville, MI 48421. Individuals needing special services to fully participate should contact Township Clerk, Michelle Coultas at (810) 793-2002 at least five (5) days prior to the hearing date.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED RESIDENTIAL SPECIAL LAND USE

PROPOSED SHORT TERM RENTAL

Notice is hereby given that the Marathon Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Marathon Township Hall, 4575 Pine Street, Columbiaville, Michigan. The purpose of the public hearing will be to consider the application submitted by Jeffrey Hemingway for a special land use for the property located at 4729 Cusenza Dr, identified as tax parcel 013-009-013-00. The property is currently zoned agricultural/residential. The applicant proposes that the property be allowed a special land use to use the residence for short term rentals.

 

You are encouraged to attend this public hearing. Any interested person may appear or be represented at the hearing to make comments or ask questions regarding the proposed special land use. Written comments can be submitted to The Township Clerk at PO Box 457, Columbiaville, MI 48421 prior to the public hearing.
